Activate Your Account (for Students)

You can either follow along with the video or walk through the steps below the video.  Please remember to write down your new ctcLink ID!

How to login to activate your ctcLink account and login for the first time

1. Navigate to the ctcLink Sign In page (https://gateway.ctclink.us) or (https://myaccount.ctclink.us/)
2. Select the Activate Your Account link

3. Select the OK button when the redirection pop up message displays.
4. The Activate Your Account page displays.
5. Enter your First Name and Last Name. Please make sure you have entered your name correctly, as it reads on your Social Security card or Passport.
6. Enter your Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY) as shown or use the calendar icon.
7. From the drop-down menu select:
   • ctcLink ID (new) If you are a current or returning student.
   • SID (old) Use if you last attended prior to Spring quarter of 2022 and have not gotten a new student id number for the ctcLink system since prior to Spring quarter of 2022.
8. Enter your SID.
9. Select the Submit button.

Set Your Password

10. The Set Your Password page displays. This page is used to set up your password and your account recovery options. Please enter your CBC Email address.
11. Security Question - no longer an option as it was determined to not be the most secure. If you had a security question in the past this option is no longer available.
12. Provide the Answer to your security question.
13. Additional Account Recovery options located in the Account Recovery box.
    1. Enter Phone Number for text (SMS) option.
    2. Enter Phone Number for voice option.

10. Create your Password. (At least 8 characters, including at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number. Special characters may be used but are not required.)
11. Confirm your Password.
12. Select the Submit button.

17. A pop-up message displays.
18. Make note of your ctcLink ID. Make sure you write this down! It will disappear after you click OK.
19. Select the OK button.

20. The Account Activation confirmation message displays.
21. Close the browser tab.

Note:  Please close your browser before attempting to log in to ctcLink.

Note:  When prompted to close your browser(s), make sure to close ALL browsers completely for update to take place.

22. Open a web browser and navigate to the ctcLink login page - gateway.ctclink.us.

23. Enter your ctcLink ID and password. 

Click the Sign In button. 

24. Select Student Homepage from the left side menu on the ctcLink portal landing page.

25. Account activation is complete.

After completing account activation, the best way to access ctcLink is with the mobile version of the site at m.ctcLink.us or using the ctcLink mobile app.
