Using Duo with a Hardware Token
Hardware tokens are one of the ways for authenticating in DUO. Here at CBC, if you were provided a token, we use USB type YubiKey 5 Nano devices by Yubico.

To authenticate using the token, ensure it is inserted into the device’s USB port prior to trying to access the site/application that will require DUO authentication (Example: Teams/OneDrive). After inserted, start to access the site/application and this will open the DUO prompt window to start authentication. Click the Enter a Passcode button.

This will open a new window with a passcode field to enter text and a logon button. Select inside the passcode field area so the curser is blinking inside that field…

After you have clicked into the passcode entry field, short tap your Yubikey token on the metal contact to generate and submit a passcode.

The DUO window will close and the application/site you are accessing should now open with DUO authentication completed.
