Adjusting the Appearance of Text in Text Mode

TextAid features two layouts for you to use when viewing documents you have opened from your TextAid Personal Library: Layout Mode and Text Mode. Toggle between these by clicking the Layout Mode and Text Mode buttons found at the top of the reading pane. Layout Mode and Text Mode toggle buttons are located atop the reading pane.

Layout Mode: Text appears on a physical page that resembles a page in a book. Text Mode: Your text settings are active, so text shows up as you choose.
 

Click the Expand Menu button if the menu is not expanded. Click the Text Settings button. Adjust the text color. Select from:

  • Black
  • Red
  • Blue
  • Yellow
  • Light Blue

Adjust the background color. Select from:

  • White
  • Black
  • Light Yellow
  • Light Blue
  • Light Pink

Select a text size from -1 to +4.

Select a font from:

  • Arial (sans serif)
  • Comic Sans  (sans serif)
  • Courier (serif)
  • Helvetica  (sans serif)
  • Open Dyslexic  (sans serif)
  • Times (serif)

You can also increase or decrease line spacing. Want to reset the text settings? Simply click the Reset to Defaults button.

Adjusting the Text Highlighting Preferences

Click the Expand Menu button if the menu is not expanded. Click the Highlighting Settings button.

Select the color for highlighting words. Be sure it is different to the color you select for highlighting sentences. Instead of a color, you can also choose to have the word underlined. No highlight or underline is also an option.

Select the text color for highlighting words. The text of the word highlighted will change color when highlighted.

The color of text can be selected.

View the text with your chosen settings.

The text highlighting example window provides a preview of the settings together.

Want to reset the settings? Simply click the Reset to Default button.
