Respondus LockDown browser is used by many instructors here at CBC. LockDown browser is installed on all lab computers and it can also be installed on your personal device, if your instructor allows you to take exams at home. Note that not all instructors and not all exams use LockDown browser. If you are unsure if an exam uses LockDown browser, navigate to the quiz. In the title, it should say Requires Respondus LockDown Browser.
If you are unsure if the course you are taking uses LockDown browser, please ask your instructor.
To install Respondus LockDown browser on your personal device, follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to the quiz that requires LockDown browser.
2. Click on the Take the Quiz button.
3. Click on Download Respondus LockDown Browser link.
4. Click on the orange Download button.
5. Install LockDown browser onto your computer.

To take a quiz using LockDown browser:
1. Close out of all other programs
2. Click on the LockDown browser lock icon on your desktop, or search for it.
3. LockDown browser will automatically open to Canvas.
4. Navigate to the quiz that requires LockDown browser and take the quiz.
