Proofpoint digest is designed to allow faculty and staff at CBC to be able to release their own quarantined emails that were safely scanned for malicious attachments and links to known bad places, but were flagged as most likely unwanted spam.
The Digest emails will look similar to the email below.

There are several ways to release the emails, and this article walks through the process.

- At the top of the menu has the following features in order from left to right:
- Find: this is used if you want to search for a message
- Release and Allow Sender: This will release the email to your inbox, and add the sender to your safe senders list to allow future messages to be delivered straight to your inbox
- Release: This will release the email to your inbox, however any future emails from the same sender will still have to be released every time a new email comes in.
- Block Sender: This is to add the sender to your personal blocklist in proofpoint, and will not see future emails from this sender in your inbox or quarantine.

Owners of shared accounts
If you are specified as an owner for a shared account or a distribution list, then there will be a drop down at your user name to change between accounts. If you are an owner and not seeing it, please contact Technology Services for assistance in fixing permissions.
Important notes:
There are two quarantine folders:
1. Low Priority Mail - Quarantined: This is often bulk mailing lists that are quarantined as often these are used for bulk sales tactics, but can simply release the ones that are safe or desired.
2. Spam - Quarantined: These are emails that were identified as more spam. Some maybe legit, but most are unwanted emails.
If there is an email that is expected, but not seeing it please reach out to Technology Services and we can help you find that email.
