How to Add a Missing P-Drive

Follow these steps to add your P-drive if it's gone missing or you don't see it in the first place.

Make sure that you are on a CBC-issued device, and are connected to the CBC network (either on-campus or via VPN.) Additionally, make sure you are logged in to your staff account.

First, open File Explorer (Typically pinned to your taskbar. You can also search "File Explorer" in the Windows search bar).

Navigate to "This PC" using the left pane. You should see the M drive here.

In the empty space near the M drive, right-click and select "Add a network location"

Click Next twice, then enter the following in the box: "\\serni\Users\username", replacing "username" with your CBC username (the first part of your email, before the @ symbol)

Click Next, then optionally enter a custom name for the P drive folder you're adding. Click Next again, then Finish.

Congratulations! You should now see your P drive in "This PC". If you encountered any issues or would like assistance, please contact Technology Services (tshelp@columbiabasin.edu / x2353 / 509-542-5553) or walk-in to T-504 during business hours (7am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs; 7am-12pm Fri)
