How to Update Zoom

NOTE: If you are using a CBC loaned laptop, you may encounter a message stating " Automatic Update Disabled" by your IT administrator. If you do, please follow these directions to uninstall ZoomOnce that is done, follow these directions to reinstall ZoomAfter that, it should let you update whenever a new update comes out.

Occasionally, Zoom will require a security update.  Fortunately, it is VERY easy to perform these updates. 

  1. When you log into Zoom, you will notice a blue bar above your usual 4 buttons.

  1. You may also get a pop-up notifying you of the update, similar to the following:

  1. If neither of these shortcuts appear, you can manually check for updates by going to your Profile Status button (either your initials or profile photo) in the upper right and selecting Check for Updates

  1. In all cases, simply click the Update button and let Zoom handle the rest.

  1. Once it's done, Zoom will reopen automatically, and you can continue using it as normal!
