Canvas Logon Information

Instructure Canvas is the learning management system (LMS) that most instructors use for online and hybrid classes. Additionally, many face-to-face classes use Canvas for posting information, accepting assignments, quizzes, etc.  For most students, their log on info is: student ID and My CBC/KIOSK PIN.  Faculty log on information is different (See Faculty section).

• Login directly to Canvas, using your student ID (SID) as your user ID and your MyCBC/Kiosk PIN as your password.
  • If you do not have a PIN, use your birthday in the format mmddyy, for example 102094
  • Note that it is a good idea to bookmark or remember the direct link to Canvas in case the CBC website is inaccessible for some reason.
  • Canvas direct link: https://cbc.instructure.com
  • If you're using the mobile Canvas app, you may need to log in again, and be sure it's pointing to https://cbc.instructure.com
• Once you get into Canvas, you should check your default e-mail address and get it corrected if it is not one you can access any longer.  Contact eLearning if you no longer have access to the primary e-mail address.  Check the Canvas help page on how to add an e-mail.  You can also change your default e-mail.  You can also add a mobile number and receive SMS text notifications. If you add additional contact methods, be sure to set your notifications for them.
