Viewing Approvals, Approval History and the Approval Chain

  1. Access the Finance Pillar from the ctcLink Gateway by clicking on “Financials Self-Service”.

  1. Open the NavBar by clicking on the compass icon in the upper right corner of your Finance Dashboard. The NavBar will open as a sidebar.

  1. Click on the Approvals shortcut in the NavBar. Note: You can access approvals for individual types of documents through the Navigator, however all of your approvals should be accessible from this shortcut in one convenient location. Instructions on using the other pages is outside of the scope of this walkthrough.

  1. If you have approvals, they will be listed. You will be able to filter them by Date, Requester, Priority, and Type. If you have no pending approvals, your screen will look like this:

  1. To view documents you have previously approved, you will need to click on the triple dot icon in the upper right corner of the screen (to the left of the NavBar compass icon). Then you will click on the “Approvals History” link in the dropdown menu. Note: The Approvals History screenshots are from before we went live in ctcLink, during our testing period. They are not real documents.

  1. If you would like to see more details for the approved documents, click on the line for that document. A page will open with details, as well as a link to view the Approval Chain.
  2. If you would like to view where a document is in the Approval Chain then you will click the Approval Chain button, which will open a dialog with all of the required approvals for the document, who has approved it, and where the approvals are pending.
