How to Forward Calls to Your Cell Phone

If you are having difficulties forwarding your extension to your cell phone, please contact I.S. Help. We will need your cell phone number and your extension you are trying to forward. Forwarding does not work with cell phone numbers that are considered long distance.

Remember your security code is the same number as your extension unless you have changed it. Please follow the directions below.

How to Forward Your Office Phone to Your Cell Phone:

 

  1. From any off-campus phone, dial 542-4540
  2. When you hear a dial tone, dial 633
  3. When you hear a dial tone, enter your four-digit office phone extension number then press pound (#)
  4. Enter your station security code then press pound (#)  (Example dial 633 dial xxxx#, dial xxxx#) xxxx is your extension and security code which are the same number.
    You’ll hear a confirmation tone indicating success*
  5. Hang up to end the call

*Note: If you do not receive a confirmation tone, hang up, verify the codes entered, and repeat this procedure from Step 1. If you still do not receive a confirmation tone, contact I.S. Help at 542-5553 for assistance.

How to Disable Forwarding of Your Office Phone to Your Cell Phone:

  1. From any off-campus phone, dial 542-4540
  2. When you hear a dial tone, dial 634
  3. When you hear a dial tone, enter your four-digit office phone extension number then press pound (#)
  4. Enter the station security code then press pound (#); contact I.S. Help at 542-5553 to get a security code if this is your first time un-forwarding from an off-campus phone
    You’ll hear a confirmation tone indicating call forwarding is disabled*
  5. Hang up to end the call

*Note: If you do not receive a confirmation tone, hang up, verify the codes entered, and repeat this procedure from Step 1. If you still do not receive a confirmation tone, contact I.S. Help at 542-5553 for assistance.

How to Change the Station Security Code From an On-Campus Phone:

  1. From any on-campus phone, dial 630
  2. When you hear a dial tone, if you are calling from an extension other than your own office phone, enter your four-digit office phone extension number followed by pound (#); if you are calling from your own office phone, press pound (#)
  3. Enter your current Station Security Code then press pound (#)
  4. Enter a new Station Security Code followed by pound (#)
    You’ll hear a confirmation tone indicating your security code has been changed*
  5. Hang up to end the call

How to Change the Station Security Code From an Off-Campus Phone:

  1. Dial 542-4540
  2. When you hear a dial tone, dial 630
  3. When you hear a dial tone, enter your four-digit office phone extension number followed by pound (#)
  4. Enter your current Station Security Code then pound (#)
  5. Enter a new Station Security Code followed by pound (#)
    You’ll hear a confirmation tone indicating your security code has been changed*
  6. Hang up to end the call
